Cyber Security

Kris is a veteran of the cybersecurity industry with more than 20 years of experience building security products and investigating some of the world’s most infamous breaches. At DNX he brings that experience to mission-driven founders disrupting industries and attackers alike. He focuses on pre-seed to series B cybersecurity companies across the globe. He is particularly excited about AI’s disruptive potential and what that means for defenders everywhere.

No stranger to “day one”, he has been an active angel investor, board observer, and advisor. Kris was one of the first employees at both Cylance (acquired by Blackberry) and Mandiant (acquired by Google). He also co-founded a cloud security startup which provided valuable, albeit humbling, lessons in entrepreneurship. Through his experiences with so many early-stage founders, Kris became a champion for founder mental health, and developed a deep interest in product discovery.

Beyond his industry experience, Kris holds two patents in machine learning, taught classes at BlackHat and the FBI Academy, and has a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science and Technology from The George Washington University School of Engineering.

Outside of his professional life, Kris is a husband and father to three curious daughters, cherishing his time with them while trying to steal moments in the ocean.
