Naoko joined DNX Ventures in December 2019 as a CFO. Most recently, she worked at the Financial Services Agency in Japan (a Japanese government agency and an integrated financial regulator ) for three and a half years, engaging in business models of regional banks and Fintech.
She started her career in a financial institution and has contiuned to focus her career in both business and finance. After graduating with an MBA, Naoko worked at Deloitte in New York as a US Certified Public Accountant for 17 accounting/auditing engagements.
Upon returning to Japan, she joined IBJ investment, Ltd.(“3iBJ”), a Jointed Venture Capital firm between the Industrial Bank of Japan and 3i in London, investing and supporting, twenty-four venture businesses in various stages. Naoko joined one of the portfolio companies as CFO and led a successful initial public offering in both Mothers Tokyo Stock Exchange and U.S. NASDAQ National Market. She built teams of finance, accounting, and IR at the listed company. After the CFO role, she joined a business development team in GE Capital, Japan and executed M&A and investment deals.
In 2003, Naoko joined the Industrial Revitalization Corporation of Japan(“IRCJ”) and engaged in turnarounds including conducting due diligence, developing business revitalization plans, directing investment and refinance, executing revitalization plans and exit to strategic partners. After IRCJ, she worked at Bandai Namco Holdings Inc., an entertainment business group listed on TSE, as an executive advisor and led the group's mid-term strategic plans including overseas business expansion, M&A, alliance investment and related PMIs(Post Merger Integration).
Naoko served as a lecturer for a Venture Business Development course at Rikkyo University (2013) and Entrepreneurship and Business Models at Toyo University (2018). Naoko holds an MBA from Boston University, Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree in Law from Keio University.
